The burgers here are amazing. The chargrill taste is unlike anything you'll find in western mass. The Lantern salad is also fantastic. Definitely not your run-of-the-mill pub food.

i had heard a lot about the burgers at the Lantern and i finally got up there to check it out. the verdict? somewhere between really good and amazing. the service was slower than you'd expect for a burger place but the food was worth the wait. one of the best burgers i've had in Berkshire county. Nothing fancy just a good old fashioned burger that tastes really fresh and that "char grill" thing they do will definitely bring you back. after my first bite I felt like I hadn't had a burger like that since I was a kid. don't mistake the Lantern's simple exterior. this place is the real deal if you are jonesing a classic burger. and before i forget the grilled chicken salad was damn good too.

You really cannot beat the Lantern. Sad to say, I just found this place after 15 years in the area. The atmosphere is great. The food is fantastic. Burgers are the best in the area for sure. Sweet Potato fries also amazing. A must if you haven't been there.

The description of the Lantern serving "traditional pub food" is far from accurate. This place is a very original, efficiently run small restaurant with very fresh-tasting and satisfying food. It's all prepared and cooked right in front of you - I love restaurants that do this, showing you there's nothing to hide - and everything is handled by the owner/cook and a waitress. It's a simple operation and they do it well. Make it a point to visit and I do expect you'll enjoy it.
