Being from Jersey I know good Italian food and I have never had a bad meal here I am in the Hotel business and travel alot every time I am in the area I know where I am eating food and staff great.

Not as good as everyone says. Good calamari, but mealy pasta and expensive. Not running back any time soon.

Mazzeo's is a Pittsfield institution with great Italian food. The new location offers a wonderful expansion from it's previous location, behind a billboard in a windowless building in a less-than-desirable neighborhood. The only reasons I give it 4 stars and not 5? It's not my favorite sauce in town and the prices are a little high. I think it's reaching for a fine dining reputation, but most locals still think of it as an upscale family place.
